BASEBALL GAME
The smell of mustard as you walk along the concession stand and you hear someone yelling, “popcorn, peanuts!!” means it is summer and you are in a baseball stadium! We took the kids to their first baseball game: Pensacola, Florida’s Wahoo minor league team. The stadium is in a great spot right off the water so you get the occasional gulf breeze! They were super excited and all their expectations were met in this perfect sized stadium!
THE GLOVE
From the minute we told Miles we were going to a baseball game, he said “I know where the glove is!” This particular glove is from when Ryan was little. A lot of memories in this glove and Miles was so proud to use it! Can you even get enough of that smile!
SEATS
Here we are in our seats, watching the teams warm up~not a bad seat in the stadium! It was such a great place for the kids to experience their first baseball game! The whole stadium was like taking the bottom deck only of a big stadium, everything was so accessible, which added to the fun of course! The quick trips to the concession stand to buy fun treats!!
GIRLS
We joked that girls come in handy at a sports game; especially when you trying to catch a ball from the outfielders! There was a spot on the first row where all the little boys would run and hold up their gloves and yell for the ball! After a couple of times of Miles turning up with no ball, I sent Evian running down to the group! Sure enough, pretty little blonde holds her hands up and gets the ball handed right to her!! Miles will learn sisters do come in handy!
LOVE
They loved every minute of the game! It was definitely hot (summer in the south), but neither one of them complained one bit! The ate plenty of junk, danced to the fun music, cheered for the home team and fell in love with the game of baseball!
BALL SIGNING
In Miles’ opinion every good game ends with ball signing! He is spoiled that the few times he has been to any game the ball signing was easy, so it may be hard for him one day when he goes to a big event. Here he is standing with Ryan right by the dugout. They were able to get 7 signatures on his Wahoo ball (that his sister caught, but he would never admit that!)
GREAT DAY
We had such a fun day! Made some great memories as a family and the kids fell in love with the game of baseball! Everything they wanted to do we were able to do; watch a fun game, run the bases, eat baseball food, and meet some players! Summer is about having more time as a family to plan fun experiences! We are excited about this summer and watching the kids excitement as they experience new adventures! Watching life through the eyes of a child makes me so happy!
