Looking for a great mountain hotel in Breckenridge? Traveling to the mountains on the weekend from Denver can have a lot of traffic, so we treated ourselves to staying the night at The Doubletree in Breckenridge. The hotel is located at the Base of Peak 9 which makes for an easy walk over to the ski lift! Or ski if there is a lot of snow like this picture of Evian!
The Lobby of the hotel is nice and spacious with cozy couches and chairs surrounding three wonderful fireplaces! Games and books are located on shelves for kids to use, while adults sit and visit!
At the bar you can order beer and wine to wind down at the end of the day!! There is also a Starbucks to order coffee or hot cocoa! Just in case you need it you can also hit the Oxygen Bar (Breckenridge’s base elevation is 9,600 ft )
Front lobby has a convenient pump of sunscreen to apply right before you hit the mountain. Beside that is cold flavored water, which is always refreshing. We love the benches along the lobby to put on our ski boots and last minute ski apparel.
The hotel is also pet friendly!
Rooms are nice and spacious with super comfortable beds! Access to a great workout room (which I never need after a day of skiing, but the kids love to go burn some extra energy!) Heat those muscles up in a the indoor heated pool or relaxing hot tub on an outside deck with an amazing view!!
Breakfast is our absolute favorite meal of the day!! This hotel’s breakfast buffet is the best! Fresh omelettes and eggs to order, always a specialty item like crepes, cinnamon rolls, fruit, cereal, baked goods, etc… Great power breakfast before hitting the slopes.
This hotel is a valet only parking, which leaves parking one last thing to worry about! The attendants are super helpful and cooperative as far as getting ski equipment or other items out of your car during your stay. Or you can choose to store your equipment in the ski storage facility in the lower level.
WE absolutely love Breckendridge, small mountain with cute shops and restaurants. Great skiing in the winter and tons of hiking in the Summer!
