Welcome to episode #45! On this episode I had so much fun chatting with Melissa Ice. Melissa and I have a great conversation about motherhood, marriage, serving, faith, adoption, and what makes her happy! You will love this conversation and I promise she will encourage all of us to step out of our comfort level and SERVE!
Melissa shares her story of the beginning of her non-profit The NET! You will fall in love with her gift of ministry and how God has called her and she has listened! I think Melissa is so BRAVE; and has a passion for coming along others and serving; as you listen to this conversation you will feel the same way. I love it when she says, “we need to recognize our own poverty!” She also talks about “Beauty in the ashes!” and “how God is doing amazing things in the dark corners of our cities!”
She talks about about their restaurant/coffee house Brewed in Ft. Worth, where they have created a space for people to belong! I cannot wait to try it out one day!
Melissa and I chat about Motherhood and adoption and how being present is so important. Motherhood has brought Melissa the gift of a new set of eyes for life and serving! I’m excited to watch her family grow through adoption.
